As one of the earlier in-house attorneys in the new patent team, you will:
- Work closely with the relevant business divisions to assist in the development of a patent strategy.
- Prepare and prosecute patent applications, coordinating with engineers and other team members to obtain the appropriate scope of protection.
- Help define and build internal processes.
- Enjoy a stimulating, fast-paced environment.
If this sounds like the job for you, you should have a degree in computer science, USPTO admission, and at least 5-7 years of experience (law firm preferred) in patent preparation and prosecution. As with most patent positions, opinion work and licensing experience will be a plus, and a little patent litigation experience will be helpful, too.
